Academic Resources and Student Support Services 

Students at the University of Toronto Scarborough have access to a large number of excellent academic resources and student support services. Academic Advising & Career Centre (AA&CC)

The Academic Advising & Career Centre (AA&CC) integrates developmental advising, learning skills, career counseling and employment coaching through individual appointments, workshops, experimental programming, events and a range of online resources.

Academic Integrity Office

The Academic Integrity Office within the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean promotes academic integrity by advising and educating students, instructors, and staff, and handling cases of academic misconduct while offering resources and workshops to foster a culture of accountability and honesty at the University of Toronto.

AccessAbility Services

AccessAbility Services is a student service and academic service on the U of T Scarborough campus. The office provides services and academic accommodations to students who have a documented learning, physical, sensory, mental health disability or medical condition.

Athletics and Recreation

Athletics & Recreation is one of the hubs of activity at U of T Scarborough and a gathering place for those pursuing a healthy active lifestyle. The department strives to create a respectful and inclusive environment that promotes opportunity and overall well-being through physical activity.

Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL)

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) offers an extensive range of programming in support of student learning. These include:

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (EDIO)

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (EDIO) is a central resource for all UTSC community members (students, staff, faculty and librarians) to provide training, programming, and engagement initiatives related to equity, access, discrimination, and harassment.

Experiential Learning

Experiential Learning at the University of Toronto Scarborough covers everything from student internships and student co-op placements, to community-based projects and organization-partnered research. There are 16 different types of experiential learning opportunities recognized by the University. 

Health & Wellness Centre 

The Health & Wellness Centre provides professional medical, nursing, counselling, health promotion, and education services to U of T Scarborough students. These services are offered in a safe, caring, respectful, and empowering environment, which is directed towards optimizing students’ academic and personal wellbeing. 

Information & Instructional Technology Services (IITS)

Information & Instructional Technology Services (IITS) design and maintain core IT services including: campus computer network; systems and data storage platforms; campus-wide support to students, staff, and faculty; technological support that enhances the experience of electronic classrooms. 

International Student Centre

The International Student Centre provides support to international students studying at U of T Scarborough and to students interested in studying abroad. The International Student Centre promotes an internationally informed and cross-culturally sensitive university community that enhances the student experience. 

Library

The UTSC Library is part of the vast resource of scholarly materials including print volumes, print journal subscriptions, sound collections, videos and films, serial collections, electronic journals, and electronic books. It also offers access to over 200 networked computer stations, individual and group study space, and extensive reference and research support. Students can receive research assistance in person, by telephone, through email and through the online Ask a Librarian chat service. 

N'sheemaehn Child Care Centre

N’sheemaehn Child Care Centre provides early education and care for 54 children. Every day learning through play in a professional, nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment helps children develop skills and strategies to thrive today and self-govern through their lifetime.

Scarborough Campus Student Union (SCSU)

The Scarborough Campus Student Union is your elected student body that advocates on behalf of students on issues that are important to you. Services include: lockers; TTC metro passes; tax clinics; health & dental plan; graduation photos; orientation; and many social and cultural events to keep you engaged. 

Student Experience and Wellbeing (OSEW)

The Office of Student Experience & Wellbeing (OSEW) provides strategic guidance and oversight for the following units: Academic Advising & Career Centre, AccessAbility Services, Athletics & Recreation, Health & Wellness Centre, Student Life & International Student Centre and Student Housing & Residence Life. 

Student Housing & Residence Life

Student Housing & Residence Life ensures that students adjust to a safe and comfortable living environment on campus. The residence experience offers a transition to independence in a community that supports academic achievement and personal growth. Student leaders and staff offer unique support for the residence community through events, services, and programming. Engaging and supportive residence life programs work to create an inclusive and positive space that embraces diversity.
