BIOC51H3: Biodiversity and Conservation Field Course

An experiential learning course providing field experiences in a variety of habitats in natural and conservation areas. Students will participate in full day field excursions to some of the most spectacular aquatic and terrestrial habitats across the GTA, including national and provincial parks, field research stations, land trusts, and conservancies. Students will experience first-hand how different agencies and partnerships work to preserve and study biodiversity, while learning to identify birds, reptiles, plants, and other organisms.

Field work will involve outdoor activities in a range of weather conditions. Additional course fee is required for costs of travel.
