ENGC16H3 The Bible and Literature I

Literary analysis of the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old Testament) and its profound influence on literature. This course considers such narratives as the fall of Adam and Eve, Noah's flood, Abraham's binding of Isaac, the life of Moses, The Song of Solomon, Job, Jonah, and Jeremiah both as works of literature in their own right and as influences upon later works of literature.
