SOCD03H3: The Sociology of Neighbourhoods

This course explores urban neighborhoods from a sociological perspective. Students conduct a semester-long, multi-method field study of a single Toronto neighborhood, using observation, interviews, and archival and quantitative data. Findings are used to understand and assess major theories of neighborhood composition, change, and social dynamics.
