VPSC73H3: Interdisciplinary Drawing and Painting

This course will explore advanced techniques and research methods in drawing and painting. Projects in this course will emphasize conceptual approaches to art making and will take students through the process of creating an artwork in response to a theme. This course will explore non-traditional materials and methods in drawing and painting. Students will be exposed to the broader possibilities of contemporary drawing and painting through readings, lectures, and in-class discussions.

2.0 credits at the B-level or C-level in VPS courses including 0.5 credit taken from: VPSB61H3; VPSB62H3, VPSB79H3, or VPSB74H3; students enrolled in the Specialist and Major programs in Studio Art must also complete VPHA46H3
